07_03_Visitor Introduction and Assistance

1. Visitor Introduction

  • 1.1 Welcome:

    • Greet the visitor in a friendly manner. Explain that the VR experience is about to begin and provide a brief overview of what they can expect.

  • 2.1 Headset Handling:

    • Clearly demonstrate how to open and properly wear the VR headset.

    • Show how to use the volume control.

    • Inform the visitor that if they feel uncomfortable at any point (for example, due to dizziness or a fear of heights), they can simply close their eyes or remove the headset.

    • Ask the visitor to hold the front part of the VR headset, align it with their eyes, and then gently close the headstrap.

    • Instruct the visitor to adjust the final tightening of the headstrap to ensure a comfortable and secure fit.

Glasses:
Inform visitors who wear glasses that if their glasses do not comfortably fit under the VR headset, they should remove them.

2. Assisting Visitors During the Session

  • 2.1 Monitoring the Experience:

    • Keep an eye on the visitor’s experience. If they experience any issues—such as improper alignment or discomfort—prompt them to remove and then put on the headset again.

    • Explain that this brief removal will recalibrate the system and adjust the application’s alignment for optimal viewing.

    • If the visitor needs assistance navigating within the application (using the gaze cursor), be ready to offer guidance.

3. Post-Usage Procedures

  • 3.1 Session Completion:

    • Once the visitor’s session is complete (whether it ends naturally or through mid-session removal), the application will restart automatically and be ready for the next visitor.

  • 3.1 Hygiene and Maintenance:

    • After the visitor has finished, clean and disinfect the headset. Focus on the face cushion, the nose element, and the lenses. Occasionally, also clean the backside of the headstrap and the shell of the VR headset.

Only use the provided cleaning products, as using the wrong ones may damage the lenses.
